The course focuses on using AI ComfyUI tools and other digital tools to generate and simulate paths for robotic milling and 3D printing structural spans, with the final output being a table. We iterate and generate different methods of spanning plastic material between carved wooden pieces to create tabletop and legs variations. The paths generated are processed in Grasshopper3D and legs are generated to hold the table. We used Adobe Fusion to simulate loads on the table and ideal leg locations based on the table size and the shape of the salvaged wooden pieces from Angel City Lumber.
