goat barn renovation
2023 - ongoing in collaboration with Yuhang Chen and Ray Vista 
Glendale, CA

This project is an ongoing renovation at a house/barn in a neighborhood in Glendale. The owner raises and train goats to bring to people for meditation, therapy, fitness, and or entertainment. After running into her at one of her events, she had mentioned that she wants to have a more intimate space with her barn animals, and that she wanted to make their environment more enjoyable for them. Visiting the site and understanding the needs of the animals gave us inspiration to design the space to be affordable and suitable for the owner’s needs and for the animals to live and roam freely within their spaces. The renovation of the barn is currently happening by phases, starting with reinforcing the deteriorating structure of the side barn.
